Brooklyn-based Afro-Funk juggernaut Ikebe Shakedown unleashes a fiery mix of sweaty Afro rhythms, deep funk, and gritty disco. Expect big horns, high-tempo percolating rhythms, jazzy guitar jams, and sleazy, greasy sax. This is definitely one for the dancefloor, a seriously groovy, funk-infused afrocentric classic!
These two tracks are taken from their debut EP. They were recorded at Dunham Studios in Brooklyn (Budos Band, Menahan Street Band) and have received a great response from press/radio (BBC6, WWOZ New Orleans).
