Main Information
Finally back in on Double Vinyl!
One of the best funk, jazz, beats, psych albums to be made since the 70's. Don't sleep!
First Brits to be signed to Stones Throw? The Heliocentrics are led by much loved, respected and sampled drummer, Malcolm Catto, who has been sampled by Shadow and Madlib. This, their debut album, has been in the pipeline for four years now, and is genre-hopping to say the least. Taking in elements of the rare deep Miami funk sound, through to Sun Ra, Axelrod and more, they have created a hybrid that is hard to pigeonhole. ‘Out There’ it certainly is, and well recommended too!
