Remember the excellent Unisex series of neo soul based around cities? (Philly Soul etc) - Well, Five years down the line and Freestyle felt it was about time to resurrect the spirit of this series, but this time not with the narrow confines of making each album city or area specific. The “Future Soul” series will, hopefully, be the first of many compilations showcasing the great wealth of Modern Soul music that is currently out there from around the world. On this album Freestyle A&R Adrian Gibsonand former Unisex Records fella Dan Jordan havegiven us some previously unreleased gems, some obscure album tracks, some singles that went under most people’s radar but all are wonderful examples of music from today. Contained within tracks from soul artists such as Will I Am (from the Black Eyed Peas), Jill Scott, Omar, John Legend and Lewis Taylor alongside lesser known, but as equally talented stars such as Trizonna McClendon, Diesler, Eric Roberson and the enigmatic Nicole Willis.
