New website features explained

Since october last year we have been steadily adding new features to our website - here's a summary.

Manage your Order.

If you have an order outstanding with us you can not only check on it's progress but you can also now arrange for it to be shipped immediately and for any out of stock items to be cancelled or back ordered. Just go to 'manage my order' on the top navigation bar and follow the simple instructions. Please note that in order to make that day's post you need to arrange immediate shipping before 3pm UK time.

Add items to an outstanding order

Save on extra postage costs by adding new items to an outstanding order. Just go to manage my order on the top navigation bar and follow the simple instructions.

Collect your order from the shop and save postage

If you live in or near manchester then you can place your order online and then collect it from the shop when it's complete. We will email you to tell when the order is ready for collection and then you can call in at a time that's convenient for you.

Get 17.5% discount on your orders if you live outside the European Union

If you live outside the EU then your order will have the UK VAT tax removed automatically. This will make it 17/5% cheaper than it would have been before last October!

New In Stock Section

This automatically displays the latest 20 items we have added to our site. Keep checking this page to get the new stuff first, especially on a Thursday and Friday when we get tons of new releases.

Back in stock section

We get restocks every day Monday-Saturday. Consequently this page changes a lot every day. Keep checking it to see what has come back into stock.

Best Sellers

These charts are automatically generated from sales in the fat city shop and on the website. They are consequently a good indication of the hottest titles around. You can filter these charts to select the specific genre of your choice.

New release charts archived

Every week we send out our new release chart that features around 80 items that have come into stock that week. This chart is organised into 5 genres - Hip Hop, Beats, Soul/ RnB, Reggae and Reissues/Misc. Don't worry if you've missed a week because we now archive at least the last 4 weeks charts. Just go to 'New In This Week' on the left hand navigation bar and select the genre of your choice. You will see the list of new release charts archived by date.

Recommended Charts archived

Likewise we archive the last few months recommended titles by genre. As above, just go to the recommended section on the left hand navigation bar And select the genre of your choice.
