An England Story is a two part Soul Jazz compilation celebrating 25 years of the MC in the UK from Dancehall to Grime. Things are nicely kicked off with 'YT - England Story', while there are other classics from the likes of Top Cat, Pap Levi and Tenor Fly. There is a heavy hip hop influence to be found on there with classics such as 'Skibadee - Tika Toc' (which is long deleted and goes for £30+ on ebay these days)and 'Ty & Roots Manuava - So u want morre? (Refix). The extensive sleeve notes make great reading too, and it is obvious that a great deal of time and effort has gone in to the creation of this incredible compilation. Essential!
