Third LP from the natural heir to Stevie Wonder's crown as Detroit soul man extraordinaire see Dwele free from Major label pressures to drop twenty tracks of sweet soul vocals and headnod beats. Hip hop and jazz are the main influences to this mans soul song writting along with classic soul, making it  fresh yet timeless set. And for a change, there are only a couple of guest accross the whole album - guess the super-talanted fella had a lot to get off his chest, and when they're the Quality of Slum Village... You know what i'm saying. Also worth checking is the mans tribute to Dilla, in the form of a great cover of Bobby Caldwells Open Your Eyes (the source of Common's The Light) and his vocal version of Workin On It (that also chucks in a few other bits and bobs from the Donuts album).

The four new ones on here are the truly mind-blowing 'Rickshaw', full of Indian samples, the heavy low slung (already popular) 'My Chippy', the spacey 'Paper Crane Gang' and the heavily Dabrye-inspired 'Interference'. This EP demonstrates how prolific and amazing this guy is, RECOMMENDED!
