The late James Kelly Duhon hailed from Beaumont in Texas, and in the late1960s he was in a group known as The Ascots. He put out a small but well formed selection of tunes and those included the two pressed up here to this limited 45rpm. 'So Trusting' is a big number with noted bass and big orchestra string stabs. On the backside is 'So Far Down' which actually got a national release on Mainstream Records while Duhon was still touring. It's a deeply affecting bit of soul musing on the lack of employment and a longing for the good times.
