Two concentrated slabs of Latin funk fusion from the king... ‘Black Brothers’ first landed on Tito's eponymous Fania-released album in 1973 and has never been released on 45. With warm, smiling sonics and tale-telling drama composed throughout, it sums up Tito's influence and character succinctly. ‘Hit The Bongo’ came our way three years earlier. Driven by a snake-like conga and tight orchestration, it also comes complete with one of Tito's neatest naked drum breaks ever recorded.
